SIA LICENSED OFFICERS
Security Guards in Coventry
Manned guarding for Coventry and Warwickshire, from single gatehouse officers to teams covering large sites around the clock.
MANNED GUARDING COVENTRY
Security guards for a city of logistics and engineering
Coventry's economy runs on making and moving things. Business parks at Ansty, Whitley and Binley, the manufacturing and research sites around the city and the distribution units along the A45 and towards the M6 and M69 all depend on tightly controlled access.
That is where a static security guard earns their place. An officer on the gate knows who should be on site, records who comes and goes, checks deliveries and keeps the entrance running smoothly. At night, the same officer patrols, checks doors and locks and responds to anything unusual.
Every guard we supply is SIA licensed, vetted and briefed on your site before the first shift. Cover can be arranged for days, nights, weekends, shutdowns or a full 24 hour rota.
DAY AND NIGHT
Coventry guarding duties, from access control to patrols
No two sites need the same thing. We agree written site instructions with you and the officer works to them, so nothing depends on guesswork.

Adding dog handlers or mobile patrols in Coventry
Large yards, long perimeters and dark corners are hard for one officer to cover alone. On those sites a dog team is a sensible addition. Our security dog handlers in Coventry can work a night shift alongside or instead of a guard, using the dog's scent and hearing to find anyone hiding.
If your premises only need regular checks rather than constant presence, mobile patrols visit at irregular times through the night and cost less than a full-time officer. We can also hold your keys and attend alarm activations so your managers are not called out.
STANDARDS
How our Coventry officers are selected and managed
Your officer is often the first person a visitor or driver meets, so character matters as much as training. Every guard is SIA licensed, screened and briefed on your site, and supervisors check in during contracts and review the reports coming back. A security officer has no police powers, so the job is to prevent trouble, keep control of who is on site and record the facts accurately for you and, if needed, for the police.
- SIA licensed and background checked
- Uniformed and briefed before the first shift
- Written site instructions agreed with you
- Daily logs and incident reports
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified
- Cover 24 hours a day, including holidays

FAQs
Coventry security guard FAQs
Can you supply guards for a 24 hour Coventry operation?
Yes. For sites that run day and night we build a rota that covers every shift, including weekends and bank holidays, with relief cover arranged in advance. We agree handover procedures so information passes cleanly between officers and nothing is missed between shifts.
Do your guards check deliveries and vehicles?
They can. Many Coventry sites ask officers to record vehicle registrations, check paperwork, confirm bookings and direct drivers. Where you need load checks or weighbridge duties, we agree the procedure with you in advance and write it into the site instructions the officer follows.
Can guards monitor our CCTV system?
Yes. Where you have a control room or monitor on site, officers can watch cameras as part of their duties and investigate anything they see. For sites without a permanent room, we can supply deployable camera towers and remote monitoring instead.
Do you provide event security in Coventry?
Yes. We provide SIA-licensed officers for entrances, car parks and perimeters at events and licensed premises, and dog teams where a stronger presence is needed outside the main crowd areas. Contact us with the date, venue and expected numbers and we will plan the cover.
