Work with Pride K9
We are always interested in hearing from licensed security professionals who take the job seriously. Send us your CV and tell us what you do best.
WHO WE WANT TO HEAR FROM
The kind of people we look for
Pride K9 was started because too many sites were being let down by officers who did not turn up and dogs that were not properly controlled. That shapes who we take on. We want people who are committed, dependable, trained and prepared, and who understand that a client is trusting us with their property overnight.
Our work covers security dog handling, static guarding, mobile patrols, key holding and alarm response, alongside camera systems and monitoring. Some of it is on live construction sites and industrial yards, some of it is on farms and open land, and a good deal of it happens at night and at weekends.
You can read more about Pride K9 and the standards we work to before you get in touch. If what you see fits how you work, we would like to see your CV.

FAQs
Working at Pride K9: FAQs
Do I need an SIA licence before applying?
Yes. Our officers and handlers hold SIA licences, and we cannot put anyone on a client site without one. If your licence is in the post or you hold one in a different sector, say so in your email and we can talk about it. Please include your licence number and expiry date on your CV.
Do I need my own dog to work as a handler?
No. You do not need to own a dog to apply for a handler role. What we do need is a NASDU qualification and the ability to keep complete control of the dog at all times, because our dogs and handlers are NASDU approved and we work in line with BS 8517 practice for security dog handling.
Do I need a driving licence?
For mobile patrol roles and dog handling roles, yes. Patrol work means travelling between client sites through the night, and handlers need to transport a dog safely to site. For static guarding posts a driving licence is not essential, although being able to reach the site reliably at the start of every shift is.
What areas do you recruit in?
Most of our contracts are in the West Midlands, Shropshire and Staffordshire, run from our Walsall head office. We also work on sites across mainland UK, so applications from other regions are welcome. Tell us where you are based and how far you can travel, and we will match that against the contracts we are staffing.
How do I send my CV?
Email it to info@pridek9.co.uk, with the role you are applying for in the subject line. Include your SIA licence details, any NASDU qualification, your driving licence status and the areas you can cover. If you would rather speak to someone first, call 0344 800 7066.
