HOW WE COVER MANCHESTER
A Nationwide Security Company Serving Manchester
We want to be straightforward about how we work. Pride K9 covers the whole of the UK from our base in Walsall, and Manchester is well connected to us by the M6. Cover for Manchester sites is arranged 24/7 and resourced from our network according to what each contract needs.
What stays the same wherever we work is the standard. Every officer is SIA-licensed, our dogs and handlers are NASDU-approved, and our team has over 30 years of experience in the security industry. The company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification through Forefront Certification (UKAS), along with COP 119 and Cyber Essentials certification.
If you need a dedicated officer on site, our page on security guards in Manchester goes into detail. This page covers the full range of services we can provide in the city.
A CITY UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Security for Manchester Construction and Commercial Sites
Manchester's skyline has changed dramatically, with high-rise residential and office towers going up around Deansgate, Castlefield, Ancoats and the wider city centre, and major development across the river in Salford. Tall buildings on tight plots mean busy gates by day and valuable plant, tools and materials left on site by night.
For builds like these we typically combine a gatehouse officer with rapid deployment CCTV towers or security pods, and add a dog team on larger or more exposed sites. See our construction site security page for more on how we approach them.
Offices, shops and hospitality venues in the centre need a different style of officer: approachable, well presented and confident with the public.
- Gatehouse officers for city-centre builds
- CCTV towers and pods for sites without power
- Dog teams for large or exposed plots
- Customer-facing officers for offices and retail
INDUSTRY AND LOGISTICS
Industrial Estates and Distribution Sites Around the M60
Trafford Park is one of the largest industrial areas in the country, and the M60 ring road, M62, M61 and M56 are lined with warehouses, depots and manufacturing units. The area around Manchester Airport also has substantial commercial and logistics development.
These sites often need layered protection: a presence at the gate, regular checks of the yard and fence line, and monitored cameras. Mobile patrols, alarm response and key holding give smaller units reliable out-of-hours cover, while larger sites may benefit from a NASDU-approved dog team. For a dog team specifically, see security dog handlers in Manchester.
AREAS COVERED
Manchester and Greater Manchester Areas We Cover
We cover the city centre, its neighbourhoods and the surrounding Greater Manchester boroughs, including sites along the M60, M62, M61, M56, M602, M66 and M67, and the A57(M) Mancunian Way.
Wherever the site is, the process is the same: tell us the address, the type of premises and the hours you need covering, and we will confirm the service we can provide. We will also tell you plainly if a different arrangement would suit the site better.

Manchester Security FAQs
Do you have a Manchester office?
No. Pride K9's head office is in Walsall, WS1 3BZ. We provide nationwide coverage and arrange cover for Manchester sites 24/7, deploying SIA-licensed officers and NASDU-approved dog teams from our network according to each contract. We will always be clear with you about how your site will be resourced.
Can you secure a high-rise construction site in Manchester?
Yes. For high-rise and city-centre builds we combine access control at the gate with CCTV towers or security pods, and add patrols or a dog team where the site layout and risk justify it. We will review the plan as the build moves from groundworks to fit-out.
Do you cover Salford, Trafford and Stockport?
Yes. We cover Manchester and the surrounding Greater Manchester boroughs, including Salford, Trafford, Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Bolton and Wigan. Call 0344 800 7066 with the site address and the type of premises, and we will confirm the service we can provide and how it would be arranged.
Can you provide short-term security in Manchester?
Yes. We can provide short-term cover such as a few nights of guarding after a break-in, security during a shutdown or refurbishment, or temporary CCTV while a permanent system is repaired. Tell us the dates and the site, and we will confirm what can be arranged.
Are your officers licensed to work in Manchester?
Yes. SIA licences apply across the UK, and all of our security officers hold one. Our dogs and handlers are NASDU-approved, and we work to British Standards, including BS 8517-1 for security dogs, wherever we operate. The same standards apply in Manchester as they do at sites near our Walsall head office.
